Gift Acceptance at UC San Diego
At UC San Diego, we believe that what we don’t know today will forever change our tomorrows. Together with support from our philanthropic community, we unite diverse people and unconventional perspectives to propel limitless impact.
When UC San Diego accepts gifts and grants from donors, it is done in good faith with the expectation that donations are given to make a positive difference on campus and in society both near and far.
Acceptance of a gift does not imply endorsement or approval by UC San Diego of the opinions, views, businesses or activities of an individual donor or organization. The campus may, however, take these factors into consideration when determining whether a donation should or should not be accepted.
Gifts are also considered from an academic perspective to ensure that the terms of each donation are feasible and conform to standards of UC San Diego and the University of California.
