Caring for patients, teaching the next generation of scholars and leaders, conducting research that can change lives, keeping our campus running smoothly and securely—as a member of the faculty and staff at UC San Diego your hard work matters to our students, alumni, patients and extended community. If that amount were increased to $20, the total raised would be $500,000. If everyone gave $40 (less than two weeks worth of eating lunch out) that would equal a whopping $1 million. These funds could be used to:

• Fund groundbreaking research so a child with a devastating disease can live one more day.
• Help a needy student focus on their studies instead of worrying how they’re going to pay for the next quarter.
• Support a program that enables students to study abroad, combining education with cultural enrichment and research opportunities.
