The Preuss School

If the future of our communities belongs to young people like Jesse Lopez, San Diego is in good hands. Every day for four years, Jesse, the son of immigrant field laborers, awoke at 6 a.m. to travel from San Ysidro to The Preuss School—a public charter school on the UC San Diego campus. There he was challenged and given the opportunity to reach for his dreams - starting with admission to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Preuss School’s rigorous college-preparatory curriculum requires extreme dedication and delivers positive outcomes by helping students and families focus on their ultimate goal: college.
