The National Collegiate Scouting Association’s Collegiate Power Rankings has repeatedly placed UC San Diego first in Division II. Your support of the Triton Athletic Fund will help meet the greatest needs of the program. You can also designate your gift to champion any of our 23 men’s and women’s teams.
UC San Diego recently opened the new Alex G. Spanos Athletic Performance Center, thanks to the support of alumni and friends, including a $500,000 gift from San Diego Chargers Chairman of the Board Dean Spanos, and his family. Still, fundraising for the new center is not complete. Naming opportunities are available.

UC San Diego’s undergraduate student body recently voted in favor of moving the campus’ 23-team intercollegiate athletics program to NCAA Division I.
The gift, from local businessman and philanthropist Doug Barnhart and his wife Nancy, will be split to create an endowment and provide current use funding.
UC San Diego Athletics has partnered with local broadband services and technology company ViaSat to create UCSDtritons.TV, an online streaming platform that will broadcast UC San Diego athletic events.
