Ways to Give

Parent and family gifts play an important role in keeping UC San Diego in the forefront of academic and research excellence. Every contribution, especially when pooled with gifts from others, can achieve big results—and begin a lifetime of philanthropy with impact. Making a gift is as easy as 1-2-3:

Step 1: Choose Your Area of Impact

  • Support the Parents Fund which helps strengthen UC San Diego’s Student Affairs programs and the university’s six colleges.
  • Support your student's college directly by making a gift to one of the six colleges Provost’s Funds.
  • Give to any other academic unit, school or area of your choice.

Step 2: Designate Your Amount
You can make a difference with a gift of any amount, whether it's $50, $500, $5,000 or $5 million.

Step 3: Choose Your Philanthropic Tools

  • Outright gift of cash: check, credit card, electronic funds transfer (EFT) or payroll deduction if you're a UCSD employee
  • Pledge (a gift paid over a three- to five-year period)
  • Matching gifts through your employer

When you're ready to make your gift, you can utilize our secure online giving website or you can also make your gift by phone or mail.
